Working With At Design Remodel

  • With me, John Clark, your Design-Remodel Specialist (DRS). I oversee everything from our first conversation to your final walkthrough.

  • It’s a role I created. Unlike a typical design-build setup, I bridge design and production — guiding choices, managing trade partners, and ensuring every detail carries through.

  • Because the transformation feels effortless. Behind the scenes, there’s careful planning and problem-solving — but my team shields you from the stress so you can simply enjoy the magic of your new space.

Our Team + Trade Partners

    • John Clark — Design-Remodel Specialist (DRS): I lead every project. While I spend a lot of time planning and managing, I still love to strap on the tool belt and make the “man glitter” (sawdust) fly.

    • Brian Porter — Lead Carpenter: Our in-house lead carpenter whose work is truly exceptional. Brian brings a master’s touch to every detail, ensuring that fit, finish, and craftsmanship set our projects apart.

  • We work with a select group of Cape Cod’s best professionals. Many of these relationships span more than a decade.

    • Plumbing & Heating: Al Perry of AJ Perry Plumbing & Heating. An absolute top-notch plumber and a client favorite for providing exceptional service.

    • Electrical & AV: Austin Duty of Shameless Plug Electrical Services. A talented electrician and AV expert who ensures that all his electrical/AV work is done correctly and neatly.

    • Tile: Brian Burns — owner of Burns Tile Installation. I gave him the moniker Tile Smith, much like a blacksmith. Brian is a true tile artist. One of the best. Period.

    • Drywall: Jim Spooner. One of the cleanest and neatest drywallers I have ever worked with.

    • Painting: Kempton Parker. Clients are always impressed with Kemp's skill and neatness.

  • Because the transformation feels effortless. Behind the scenes, there’s careful planning and problem-solving — but my team shields you from the stress so you can simply enjoy the magic of your new space.

  • Because these aren’t just subs — they’re trusted colleagues who share our standards and make the work shine.

  • Yes. We handle cabinetry, counters, plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, and finishes — and connect you with trusted local showrooms when needed.

Quality, Budget, and Guarantees

  • We prevent this with detailed proposals. If you change scope mid-project, we issue clear change orders with pricing before proceeding. No hidden costs.

  • Yes. A six-year workmanship warranty — one of Cape Cod’s longest.

  • I check details daily. Combined with Brian Porter’s in-house expertise and our long-standing partners, consistency is built in.

  • We minimize delays with strong scheduling, reliable trade partners, and proactive updates. You’ll always know where things stand.

  • Trust is everything. Our small, proven crew is respectful, clean, and dependable — backed by our 6-year warranty.

A Personal Note

  • For me, the best moments come in the middle and the end.

    • The middle is when the project really starts to take shape — walls are up, finishes are going in, and you can finally see your vision coming together as we head toward the finish line.

    • The end is the payoff — the final walkthrough, the smiles, the hugs, and the joy of stepping into a space that’s been transformed into something magical you’ll enjoy for years.

  • Yes. We serve the Upper & Mid-Cape towns — Bourne through Dennis. Staying focused here allows us to provide the highest level of service without spreading thin.
