Favorite Bathroom Remodeling Trends from 2019

Bathroom trends with bowl sink

How much time do you spend in your bathroom each day? Is this space still one that you enter and leave as quickly as possible, or have you finally managed to turn it into an area that you want to stay in while you relax away the stress from your day? It doesn’t matter which answer you gave, because almost every bathroom can use a little touch-up here and there.

Here are our favorite bathroom remodeling trends from 2019:

Bathrooms are Becoming Smaller

While a massive bathroom is nice, not many of us can say that we have that much space in our house for one. That is why we are happy to see that bathrooms are becoming smaller, while becoming efficient and luxurious enough to fit everyone’s needs.

High-Tech Toilets

For years, a toilet had one lever to push when it was time to flush. In more recent years, we were thrilled to find water saving options on our toilets when they arrived in the stores with two buttons on top. However, that made all of us want more, and you will love the seat warmers, air dryer, built-in deodorizer, and the seat that opens and closes automatically that are available in the newest models. You may even want to consider purchasing a toilet that plays your favorite music whenever the seat is open.

Heated Floors

There is nothing worse than walking on a cold bathroom floor in the middle of the night or after you have stepped out of the shower, which is why heated floors are a must in this space. The heating feature can be installed under numerous types of flooring materials, so you will not need to give up your favorite material to keep your feet warm in the future.

Small Appliances

There used to be a time when the only small appliances inside bathrooms were curling irons and hair dryers. However, nowadays, you can place a mini fridge, single serve coffee maker, a television, and many other small appliances in this space.

Uniquely Shaped Tiles

Subway tiles are a thing of the past in bathrooms, because tiles are now being offered in many unique shapes. We recommend choosing one of these newer shaped tiles in a color or pattern that you love and turn your remodeled bathroom into a conversation starter instantly.

Brass and Gold

There have always been multiple finishes available for bathroom fixtures, but brass and gold haven’t been on anyone’s radar for a couple of decades now. However, the color of the brass has changed into a glowing warm gold, which makes it perfect for adding an elegant touch to your bathroom space.

These are some of our favorite bathroom trends from this year and we hope that they stick around for a long time in the future. After all, we aren’t sure that we want to give up our heated floors, heated toilet seats, or favorite beverages when we are this space just yet.
