Bathroom Remodeling Simplified
" Doing Bathroom Remodeling Right is a well choreographed dance of assorted trades to correctly assemble a complex puzzle in a short time frame. In fact, I love remodeling bathrooms as they are usually much more challenging then kitchen makeovers! My three favorite features of bathrooms are large open showers, pocket doors and painted beadboard finished in a stunning, glossy white.

Your Bathroom Renovation Choices
Flooring
Standard Flooring Choice: Resilient vinyl flooring that looks great and is low maintenance.
Luxury Flooring Choice: Real tile can add depth to your bathroom, while in-floor heat keeps you cozy and gets rid of unsightly baseboard heat.
Baths
Standard Bath Choice: The widest acrylic tub/surround you can fit into your space will modernize your look.
Luxury Bath Choice: This can include a whirlpool or bubbler, inline water heater, small shelves and a deck mounted faucet with a hand-held showering wand. The mood in your bathroom will be relaxing for a nice soak.
Showers
Standard Shower Choice: A new acrylic shower base and surround in place of a tub and the thickest frame-less clear glass doors that fit in your budget can be a popular choice.
Luxury Choice: A custom shower base with river rock overlay, floor-to-ceiling wall tile and a mounted seat. To make your shower even more luxurious install a personal shower system, a remote exhaust fan with a dimmable light and a heavy duty frame-less shower door.
Vanities and Sinks
You have many vanity choices and we can help you choose the right one for you. They come in a wide variety of colors or stained wood and taller vanities are popular now. For a lighter, elegant look, you can opt for a pedestal sink, while wall mounted sinks open up the floor area and free standing sinks are one of our favorites.
Vanity Tops
Choose from quartz, elegant marble, or luxurious granite. We like Swanstone for its ease of cleaning.
Toilets
Today’s modern toilets work well and use less water and you can also opt for a duel flush option to reduce water use even more. Tall? Choose a chair height toilet.
Faucets
You have many faucet choices including single handle, wall mounted and even automated. Your choices for the shower include a rain shower or a personal hand shower/wand with a standard shower head combination.
Lighting
Lighting is key in your bathroom remodeling project. It should be well lit for safety, while sconces on either side of the vanity can fully light your face without casting shadows. To set a relaxing, spa-like mood, add a dimmer-controlled wall sconce near your tub so you can tone down the lighting as you unwind in the bath.
